Supreme court has asked federal government not to transfer Inspector General Police Sindh A D Khowaja here on Thursday during the hearing of a case at Karachi. SC has further observed that Khowaja is independent in transfers and postings of police officials.
Sindh government had been trying to remove Khowaja since his appointment but the last option through federal government has been blocked by Supreme court. Sindh High Court had already stopped Sindh government not to transfer AD Khowaja and had given full powers to him.
Meanwhile Sindh government had suggested Abdul Majeed Dasti as IGP and federal government had accepted it as well.
