KARACHI (ENN) Sindh Minister for Excise and Taxation & Narcotics Control and Parliamentary Affairs Mukesh Kumar Chawla has asked the officers and officials of the department to wear proper uniform as per standard operating procedure and they must observe punctuality and regularity in their respective offices and the violators will be dealt according to the law.
This he said while presiding over a meeting here in his office here on Wednesday. Secretary Excise and Taxation & Narcotics Control Abdul Rahim Shaikh Director Generals Shabbir Ahmed Shaikh, Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui and other Directors also attended the meeting.
He said that it had come into his notice that certain officers and officials did not wear proper uniform during duty hours, they are finally warn to avoid such practice, in either case action would be taken against them.
He added, ‘ Sindh Excise and Taxation Department will launch Road Checking Campaign soon to nab tax defaulting vehicles and advised the owners of the tax defaulting vehicles to deposit their due taxes before the launch of the drive to avoid any untoward situation on the roads.
He also directed to enhance vigilance at boarder check posts so that no drug peddlers could dare to smuggle drugs into Sindh.
