PESHAWSR (ENN) Another transgender killed brutally in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkuwa province.
The murdered transgender was identified as Aftab hailing from Kalan Nowshera district.
The first information report had been registered against unknown assailants.
According to police, Aftab Transgender (Maya) was killed near Gul Baba Nowshera Cantt and they have arrested the father of the transgender, Aurangzeb for investigation.
The police found the body of the transgender Aftab alias Maya, who lived in Azakhel Nowshera in morning which was first unidentified.
The body was taken to District Headquarter Hospital in Nowshera Kalan for the postmortem, then identified through social media image uploading.
The police told that raids were being conducted for the arredt of transgender’s uncle as well.
As the news of murder reached to Peshawar, the Transgender in groups came out to show a sympathy and they protested against the killing.
According to reports Aftab was taken from Peshawar to Nowshera with the approval of police by his father and they had guaranteed his safety.
This is the another attack on transgender people in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan, before this case in June Spogmai and Kalajayi were attacked but they are now in hospital and recovering.
A recent report by Trans Action Alliance revealed that from 2015 to date, at least 63 transgender persons have been killed in PTI led Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
