The Urs of Shah Abdul Latif Bhitai was observed on 4th November at Bhit Shah, near Hala district Matyari, Sindh.
Agha Siraj Durrani, speaker Sindh Assembly arrived Bhit Shah and offered prayer and presented Chadar on the tomb of Shah Latif. Soofi singers and thousands of devotees visited Bhit Shah and offered prayers.
Earlier Sindh government had announced 4th November (Saturday) as public holiday on the eve Urs (death anniversary) of famous poet Shah Abdul Latif Bhitai.
While Chief justice of Sindh has also announced the day as public holiday and courts will remain closed on Saturday in Sindh. Shah was born in 1689 and died in 1752. His Urs is held at Bhit Shah, some 40 KMs away from Hyderabad Sindh.
