SIALKOT (ENN) The Customs officials foiled a major attempt of smuggling of the dozens of the rare tortoises from Sialkot international airport to Malaysia via Dubai here on Saturday.
According to the senior customs officials, a local accused clearing agent had booked several cartons under the name of an exporter Muhammad Ejaz for Malaysia at the cargo section of Sialkot international airport.
During the special checking, the Customs officials found the dozens of the live rare tortoises packed the cloths in five cartons.
Customs officials foiled this major attempt of smuggling the dozens of the rare turtles from Sialkot international airport to Malaysia. Customs officials took the seized turtles into custody.
Senior officials added that further investigations were underway, with no arrest.
