SIALKOT (ENNS) A local PML-N worker was brutally tortured to death allegedly by local PTI workers over an election row for not supporting the PTI in July 25, 2018 general elections in village Chak Baamnaan-Phalora,Pasrur tehsil.
According to the details, a local PML-N worker Muhammad Imran, 30 went out of his house where as many as seven armed accused including five nominated accused Khalid, Nasir, Zahid, Tariq and Rehman alias Kaifii brutally tortured him physically with hockey sticks, wooden sticks and iron rods as a “punishment” for supporting the PML-N instead of the PTI in recently held general elections.
The accused fled away after throwing the brutality tortured victim near local girl’s primary school in the village after considering him dead. Later, the victim Imran succumbed to his brutal torture wounds on the way to a local hospital.
Victim’s brother Rizwan told the police that local PTI accused PTI workers Khalid, Nasir, Tariq, Sajid and Rehman brutally tortured to death his brother Muhammad Imran over a political row.
Meanwhile, Phalora police have registered a case No.256/2018 under sections 147,149 and 302 PPC against seven accused including five nominated accused.
Police have claimed the arrest of two accused Rehman and Tariq in this regard.
Police handed over dead body to the grieved family for burial after autopsy.
Victim Muhammad Imran was married a year ago.
Later, the dozens of the local people including the heirs of the slain victim Imran, staged an agitational demonstration by placing the dead body on main Badiana-Pasrur-Zafarwal Road.
They chanted slogans against PTI and kept the traffic blocked on this road for about two hours. The local police officials negotiated with the protesting people and assured them about the early arrest of the politically influential accused.
The protesting people demanded early and speedy justice for the grieved family.
On this assurance, the protesting people dispersed peacefully.
Later, the slain PML-N worker Muhammad Imran was laid to arrest in his native graveyard here today. A large number of the people attended his funeral.
