ISLAMABAD/ KARACHI (ENNS) Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) spokesperson Fawad Chaudhry here on Saturday tweeted that Prime Minister Imran Khan has nominated Dr Arif Alvi for the President of Pakistan.
The presidential election is scheduled to be held on September 4 as Mamnoon Hussain will be complete his tenure.
“PTI has nominated Dr Arif Alvi as its candidate for President of Islamic Republic of Pakistan,” Chaudhry tweeted.
Dr Alvi won from NA-247, Karachi constituency during the July 25 polls. He was also elected member of the National Assembly in the 2013 General Election from NA 250 at that time.

Dr Alvi is known as an upright person by profession dentist based in Karachi. He is among the founders of PTI and has long struggle for party.
Alvi for years visited various cities of Pakistan to invite people to be part of the party. He was part of the movement for the restoration of constitution and judiciary in 2007.
People from various walks of life have appreciated the nomination of Dr Alvi by prime minister Imran Khan.
