Sialkot based Pakistani teenager Ahmed Raza was much delighted by carrying coin toss in Friday’s FIFA World Cup match between Brazil and Costarica. This historical moment made him proud to uphold the prestige of Pakistan globally by conducting the toss for football game Brazil Vs Costarica.
Hailing from Sialkot-Pakistan, the family of Ahmed Raza has been crafting hand-stitched footballs in Sialkot for professional leagues since the past three generations and he (teenager Ahmed Raza) along with his father Shabir Ahmed are major football enthusiasts and this mega event made the fulfillment of dream for the father-son-duo.
FIFA has especially invited Ahmed Raza to attend this mega event.
Ahmed Raza today made history by becoming the first ever Pakistani to be present on a World Cup field in an official capacity.
Ahmed Raza and his father Shabir Ahmed were in Moscow-Russia.
In Sialkot, Ahmed Raza family said that the 15-year-old Ahmed Raza and his father Shabir Ahmed are both football fanatics and Raza’s involvement in the FIFA World Cup 2018 is a dream come true for both of them.
Raza, who is a passionate fan of Neymar Jr and the Brazilian football team, also had the opportunity to meet his favorites in person.
Ahmed Raza also met celebrated filmmaker Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy in Moscow. Chinoy is documenting Raza’s journey to Moscow for a short film to be released in July this year.
Coca Cola Company has collaborated with two-time Academy Award winning filmmaker Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy to document Raza’s journey from Sialkot to Moscow. The documentary is set to be released next month.
