ڈیرہ غازی خان: مشہور سیاسی و سماجی رہنما  آسیہ علی خان قتل-Social, political worker Asiya Akbar Khan shot dead by known accused in DG Khan

DERA GHAZI KHAN (By Rana Faisal) Social and political worker Asiya Akbar Ali Khan was shot dead here on Tuesday by her younger sister’s father-in-law and other accused.

Police officials said Akbar, who fought for women’s rights, was traveling via van to Khanpur when two men forced her to get off and fired at her in Foja Basti area of Dera Ghazi Khan. She died on the spot.

As per initial reports, the father-in-law of Akbar’s younger sister, Aqsa, suspected that the social worker was ‘poisoning’ her against his family.

After 15 days of Aqsa’s marriage, Akbar brought her back to DG Khan from Khanpur where she had moved after tying the knot, reports stated.

Aqsa’s father-in-law shot Akbar over the suspicions and fled right after, the officials added.

However, Akbar had filed a case stating that her sister had been missing but no effective action in the matter.

Investigations into the incident are under way and raids are being conducted to arrest the accused.

بستی فوجہ کے قریب ملزمان صابر اور آصف سہول نے آسیہ علی خان کو ویگن سے اتار کر سر میں گولیاں مار کر قتل کردیا۔تھانہ کوٹ چھٹہ پولیس نے مقدمہ درج کر لیا پوسٹ مارٹم کے بعد لاش ورثا کے حوالے کر دی گئی۔

واضح رہے کہ اس کی چھوٹی بہن اقصیٰ کچھ عرصہ سے غائب ہے جس کی آسیہ علی نے تھانہ کوٹ چھٹہ میں ایف آئی آر بھی درج کرا رکھی تھی جبکہ گزشتہ سال بھی مقتولہ آسیہ علی خان فائرنگ سے زخمی ہوئی تھیں۔

یاد رہے مقتولہ خان پور کے معروف ٹرانسپورٹر میاں اکبر بودلہ کی بیٹی تھیں۔پولیس ملزمان گرفتار نہیں کر سکی۔
