QUETTA/ ISLAMABAD (ENNS) Three persons including levis man were martyred in Quetta’s Sariab road area here on Saturday, the police confirmed.
Unknown assailants opened fire on a vehicle carrying the levies personnel in the city’s Killi Bangulzai vicinity.
The bodies were shifted to the city’s Civil Hospital.
Security forces reached the site of the incident soon after it was reported and cordoned off the area. Investigations into the incident are under way.
Two of the slain men have been identified as Anwar and Nasbullah.
On the other side funeral prayers of three soldiers who embraced martyrdom in cross-border attacks on Pakistan Army posts in North Waziristan were offered in Dera Ismail Khan on Saturday.
The bodies have been sent to their native places where funerals prayers were held as well.
On Friday, five terrorists were gunned down in cross-border attacks on Pakistan Army posts in North Waziristan. The army personnel had repulsed multiple cross-border attacks and fire raids on its posts along Pakistan-Afghanistan border area.
Resident of Sargodha Havaldar Iftikhar, Sepoy Aftab from Chitral, and Sepoy Usman resident of Gujarat laid down their lives in the cross-border attacks by terrorists.
