SIALKOT (ENN) As many as six persons including four persons of a family were martyred and twenty two other people were injured seriously during this fresh spell of unprovoked intensified mortar shelling on Sialkot border villages in Sucheetgarh, Charwah, Harpal, Bajra Garhi, Chaprar, Meraajkey and Khanoor Sectors of Sialkot Working Boundary here on Friday.
According to the senior officials of the Punjab Rangers, the Indian Border Security Forces (BSF) resorted to unprovoked intensified mortar shelling on Sialkot border villages, targeting the civilian population there in said sectors of the Sialkot Working Boundary, late at the last night (the night between Thursday and Friday). This Indian shelling remained continued for the whole of the last night and on Friday intermittently.
The heavy mortar shells fired by the Indian BSF, hit a house of a farmer Noor Hussain in village Khanoor (Meraajkey Sector) , killing four persons of his family including Kalsoom Bibi (42) wife of Noor Hussain, Shama Naz (18), Muskaan Bibi (10 years old) daughters of Noor Hussain and his son Ali Hamza (14) on the spot. Noor Hussain himself also sustained serious head injuries.
Indian mortar shells also killed Naveed Ahmed (25) son Rasheed Ahmed in village Harnaawali and Ahtesham Ahmed (12) son Sagheer Ahmed in village Sakroori (Harpal Sector) along the Sialkot Working Boundary.
The Indian mortar shells badly hit his house, killing four persons on the spot.
According to the rescuers of Rescue 1122 Sialkot, twenty two other persons including Riasat Ali (11 years old) son of Noor Hussain (In village Khanoor, Safia Bibi (45) wife of Muhammad Ikram in village Kundanpur(Sucheetgarh Sector), Zainab Bibi (28) , Arooj Fatima (4 years old) daughters of Shamas Din in village Patwaal(Chaprar Sector) Farwa Naseem (22), Aqeel Naseem (16) in village Khuraana(Umraanwali Sector), Safia (35) wife of Muhammad Sarwar, Salman (15) son of Younas, Zahida Bibi wife of Naseem in village Bhagiyaari (Charwah Sector), Shamas Din (44) son of Younas in village Patwaal, Muhammad Rafiq (65) son of Allah Rakha in village Surakhpur(Chaprar Sector) , Ali Hassan (15) son of Muhammad Munir, Shakeel Ahmed (14) son of Muhammad Latif , Ali Akbar (20)son of Shamas Din in Harpal Sector , Rehan Ramzan (10 years old) in village Raja Harpal , Muhammad Ameen (23) son of Karamat Ali in Charwah, Adana Jameel (18), Hajra Bibi (55) wife of Muhammad Rasheed in village Dhamaala-Charwah, Ayshad daughter of Tanveer, Jannat Bibi wife of Tanveer, Tayyuba daughter of Javaid and Nazar Hussain (65) son of Javaid in village Sakroori (Harpal Sector) were injured seriously by the mortar shells fired by Indian BSF.
The injured were shifted to Sialkot Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in critical condition.
Reportedly, the people were busy in Sehari for observing the fast, when, the Indian BSF started unprovoked heavy mortar shelling on Sialkot border villages.
The dozens of the cattle were also killed or injured by Indian shelling there in Sialkot border villages.
According to the senior officials of the Punjab Rangers, this Indian shelling created panic and harassment among the local people. However, the Punjab Rangers responded instantly and effectively, besides, making the Indian guns silent, the Punjab Rangers officials added.
Indian BSF targeted the civilian population in Sialkot border villages Punwal, Punwal Chak, Punwal Khurd, Nandpur, Rangpur Jattan, Salehpur, Malaaney, Thathi, Jhumiyaan and nearby villages( in Chaprar Sector), Joiyaan, Anula, Harpal, Salaankey, Wahga, Khanor, Sangiyaal, Umeraanwali(in Harpal sector), Wainse, Daallowali, Kundanpur, Thathi, Meendarwal and surrounding villages (in Sucheetgarh Sector), Jarwal, Charwah, Merajkey, Akhnur , Dhamala , Haakimwala, Tulsipur, Lasso Chak, Bharthaal, Rangpur, Tandiyaal, Thakariyaal, Sangiyaal and surrounding villages (in Charwah Sector) here along the Sialkot Working Boundary, as this Indian BSF shelling remained continued for the whole of the last night (the night between Thursday and Friday) and today(Friday), intermittently, as well.
According to the local people, the dozens of the houses of the local villagers were badly hit and damaged by the heavy mortar shells fired by the Indian BSF in Sialkot border villages, as the roof tops, walls, balconies, floors and rooms of the dozens of the houses, cattle sheds, schools’ buildings were also badly damaged and were holed by the Indian shells, during this stepped up unprovoked intensified Indian mortar shelling on these villages here in Sialkot border villages in Chaprar, Bajra Garhi, Harpal, Sucheetgarh, and Charwah sectors along the Sialkot Working Boundary.
The villagers told that the several mortar shells fired by Indian BSF also landed in the local fields, which could not exploded.
Pak Army’s Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) Wing has also confirmed the deaths of six persons including four persons of family by Indian BSF shelling on Sialkot border villages besides injuring seriously twenty two other civilian persons in Sialkot border villages due to unprovoked mortar shelling by Indian BSF on Sialkot border villages along the Sialkot Working Boundary here today.
These four martyred persons of a family, the Indian BSF shelling victims were laid to rest in their native graveyard at village Khanoor-Meerajkey.
The villagers staged agitational demonstration against India by placing the dead bodies in village’s Chowk. They chanted anti-India slogans, asking the world to take serious notice of these brutal killings by Indian BSF shelling on Sialkot border villages.
Meanwhile, Pakistan has lodged a very strong protest against these brutal killings of the Pakistani civilians by Indian BSF shelling on Sialkot border villages along the Sialkot Working Boundary.
Pakistan has also strongly condemned the Indian brutality and war aggression and killing the innocent Pakistanis by targeting the civilian population in Sialkot border villages.
Director General Pakistan Rangers (Punjab), Major General Azhar Naveed Hayat Khan has said that the Punjab Rangers would give the answer to the Enemy (India) in the same coin, saying that the Indian Border Security Forces (BSF) on were targeting the civilian population in Sialkot border villages by its unprovoked intensified mortar shelling there.
He stated this while talking to the heirs of the local people, martyred by Indian shelling, during his visit to Indian shelling hit Sialkot border villages in Charwah and Harpal Sectors along the Sialkot Working Boundary.
DG attended the funeral of the Indian shelling victims here today.
He expressed complete solidarity with the grieved families. He also inquired about the health of the injured.
He said that the Punjab Rangers have the full capability till defend the every inch of the Motherland, besides, giving answer to the enemy in befitting manners and retaliating instantly and effectively.
He said that the Indian BSF is writing plenty stories of its brutality and cruelty by targeting the civilian population in Sialkot border villages here.
DG of the Punjab Rangers also visited forward areas along the Sialkot Working Boundary.
The DG was given a comprehensive briefing on operational, security and training aspects.
The senior Punjab Rangers officials told that the Director General(DG) Punjab Rangers Maj-Gen Azhar Naveed Hayat Khan interacted with soldiers performing duties along the Sialkot Working Boundary here.
The DG appreciated the high morale and state of preparedness of the valiant soldiers of Punjab Rangers, who are selflessly contributing towards safer and peaceful Pakistan.
While interacting with officers and soldiers, DG emphasized that all efforts be directed to guard the borders.
He also reiterated that Pakistan Rangers (Punjab) is prepared / ready to give its best towards fulfillment of its sacred responsibility, and instructed troops on forward posts that any cease fire violations from across the border must be responded aggressively.
