Sialkot: Injured woman is being treated at hospital. (ENN)
SIALKOT (ENN) An accused husband Zulfiqar chopped off the leg of his wife Saima Bibi in the name of honour over a suspicion of having illicit relations with her paramour in village Mahaar, Pasrur tehsil on Thursday.
Reportedly, accused Zulfiqar returned back home from Saudi Arabia on leave. He had a suspicion that his wife Saima Bibi had developed illicit relations with a person in the village.
Saima Bibi was sitting in the room when the accused attacked on her and he chopped off her left leg with a sharp-edged chopper, saying that he has cut her leg as punishment for having illicit relations with someone. He said he has not killed her intentionally leaving her to die at every moment with her chopped off.
She was admitted at Govt. Allama Iqbal Memorial Teaching Hospital Sialkot in critical condition. Victim Saima Bob’s sister Aliya Bibi told by telephone that the victim has submitted her application at Pasrur Saddar police station for the registration of a case against her accused husband. Police are investigating with no arrest.
