On 21st March every year Muslims in Pakistan, Central Asia and Zoroastrians community observe Novroz to mark the beginning of new year and first Day of spring, when the day and night have same timing.

 It’s also signifies a time of spiritual renewal and physical rejuvenation. This day is celebrated also to promote peace, solidarity, reconciliation and neighborliness and it is designed to be filled with food and new cloths and quality time with loved ones.

Ladies and children in Gilgit Baltistan gathered in parks to celebrate Novroz, where they sing and dance to well come spring time in the area.  Novroz celebration is also associated with tourism, especially people from Japan and local tourists visit this place to see the beauty of greenery after snowy weather and Garden and Parks full of Flowers.

Ismaili Muslims started celebrating Novroz from the time of Aga Khan 1, Shah Hassan Ali (1804-1881) who was governor of Kirman, Iran and he moved to India to be close to his followers.  Novroz has become festival to celebrate for the Aga Khani Community in India form that time onward.

Five symbolized food include wheat plan (rebirth), sweet dishes (love), Apple (health and beauty, Garlic (medicine or good Health, Vinegar (age and patience).
