LANDIKOTAL (ENN) The Corps Commander Lt. Gen. Nazir Ahmad Butt on Friday said that they have inducted sports projects for Fata in the ongoing rehabilitation work under the supervision of Pakistan Army and would be done with the collaboration of Fata Olympics Association.
General Nazir Ahmad Butt told this to a Fata Sports delegation headed by Fata Olympics Association President Shahid Khan Shinwari met at his office. The Corps commander assured the delegation that every ways and means would be used for promotion of healthy sports activities in Fata.
He said work on the construction of Tirah sports stadium was in progress. He agreed that Landikotal Tehsil has been producing international players in Football, Volleyball, Baseball, Cricket, Squash, Martial Arts and other games. He said an international standard Sports Complex would be constructed in Landikotal Tehsil.
Corps Commander Peshawar told the delegation to submit a detailed sports plan for the development of sports in Fata and assured that they would work on it on priority basis.
Squash legend Mohibullah said, with the grace of Almighty Allah, Pakistan Army have rescued the people of Fata by rendering matchless sacrifices in the war against militants.
