Woman burnt to death, Step-father’s rape attempt on daughter foiled, Constable injured, 6600 farmers to be registered

SIALKOT (ENN) Local people found a dead body of an unknown woman from near the Darbar of Mai Allah Rakhi in Pasrur city here on Monday.
According to the local police, some unknown accused brutally tortured her to death and threw dead body near the local shrine. Police shifted dead body to Pasrur THQ Civil Hospital for autopsy. Police have started the investigation.
Step-father’s rape attempt on daughter foiled
SIALKOT (ENN) Mother foils the attempt of her minor daughter’s rape attempt by her (minor girl) step father in Daska city’s congested Gaga locality here.
According to the FIR (No.44/2018) lodges at Daska City under section 376 and 511 PPC by N B, she was sleeping in her room when she heard the hue and cry of her minor daughter KB (11 years old), she saw that her second husband accused Nasir alias Billa was attempting rape his step-daughter KB.
She foiled the rape attempt of her minor daughter and accused fled away by waving his pistol from the scene. Police have started investigation with no arrest, in this regard.
Constable injured in attack
SIALKOT, Jan 29: -Two unknown armed motorcyclists shot injured a local police constable Salman Ghani near Chungi No.8 locality of Daska city here late at the last night. Police said that the local patrolling saw two accused quarrelling with the police constable. The accused shot him, injured seriously and fled away after leaving their motorcycle there in the darkness of night.
No reason behind this incident was yet told by any one. The injured constable shifted to Daska Civil Hospital in critical condition. Daska City police have registered a case with no arrest.
6600 farmers would be registered under E-Credit scheme in Sialkot
SIALKOT (ENN) The wheat crops would be sown on as many as 507000 acres of land in Sialkot district during current year, which is much more than the last year’s 96980.
Sialkot Deputy Commissioner Dr. Farrukh Naveed told while presiding over an important meeting of District Agriculture Advisory Committee held at the DC Office Sialkot here on Monday.
DC added that as many as 11306 farmers and growers have yet been registered in Sialkot district for the issuance of the Kissan Cards against the given official target of registration of total 22300 farmers in Sialkot district till the end of 2018. He said that fifty percent registration target has been achieved for this purpose.
He said that as many as 6600 farmers would be registered in Sialkot district under the Punjab government’s E-Credit scheme this year.
DC also directed the concerned officials to ensure the early and smooth provision of the quality seeds, fertilizers and pesticides on subsidized rates in Sialkot district.
