SIALKOT (ENN) A large number of people including the heirs of the two slain minor brothers, staged a peaceful demonstration to lodge their strong protest against the Sambrial police for failing to trace out or arrest the accused rapists-cum-killers despite the passage of the eight months to these brutal murders here on Wednesday.
The protesting people were carrying banners, placards and chanted anti-police slogans. They kept the traffic blocked for about five consecutive hours by burning the tyre on main Sialkot-Sambrial Road near Saahowala, Sambrial tehsil.
They demanded justice by the Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif besides demanding the early arrest of the accused. They said that as many as eight months had passed and Sambrial police have miserably failed in tracing out or arresting the accused who had brutally killed local “ill-fated” missing boys Hamza Arshad, 6 and Zeeshan Haider, 8 years old.
Their dead bodies were found from the local fields in village Saahowala, Sambrial tehsil on June 10, 2017. Police said that some unknown accused strangulated the minor boys to death after molesting them criminally to conceal their sin.
The “ill-fated” boys Hamza Zeeshan had gone missing from their houses and later their dead bodies were found from the village’s fields.
Sambrail police officials said that the investigations were still underway.
