PESHAWAR (ENN) At least six infants have died in Peshawar’s Lady Reading Hospital (LRH) since Monday night, sources told ENN on Tuesday.
According to reports six children died in children ward of LRH due to non-availability of oxygen as infants were admitted after Pneumonia (the lung infection that can make you very sick. You may cough, run a fever, and have a hard time breathing) few days ago but died due to non-availability of Oxygen and the number of children was beyond the hospital capacity.
An attendant at hospital told that there were more than one infant at every bed and he saw over three children on one bed as well. He told that they have come to know that eight children have died since last night.
While LHR media section rejected the reports of death of eight children and claimed that there was no shortage of Oxygen in the hospital.
The relatives of a patient told that Doctors were doing their beast but patients were being brought in large numbers; therefore non-availability of Oxygen occurs frequently in the hospital.
