ISLAMABAD (ENN/MD) Today (Monday) in a rare move of cooperation between Pakistan and India, the mother and wife of convicted Indian spy Kulbhushan Jadhav met at Ministry of Foreign Affairs in here at Islamabad. The scheduled meeting for 30 minutes continued till 40 minutes. As per the pictures issues of ministry both mother and wife were seen very keen to meeting their loved one.
According to initial reports Jadhav’s mother and wife flew to Islamabad via Dubai earlier in the morning of Monday. The family arrived at the Indian High Commission from where they were taken to the Foreign Office.
Indian Deputy High Commissioner JP Singh was seen standing during meeting but according to Pakistani officials, he could only see the meeting but can not hear due to sound proof glass fixed in a container made specially for meeting.
Both mother and wife even can not touch or shake hand with convicted Jadhav as glass mirror was fixed in between but intercom phones were installed to talk only.
Pakistan foreign office clarified that the presence of Indian high commission official was not the counselor’s access but it was part of human sympathy grounds on the 25th December, the birth day of Pakistan’s founder Quaid Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
Both the females left Pakistan in Musqat bound flight from Islamabad in the evening.
