SIALKOT (ENN) Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested accused Tariq Mehmood, Manager Operation Habib Bank Limited-HBL Daska in Rs.2.3 million fraud case.
Mufakhar Adeel, FIA Divisional Deputy Director told that the HBL Daska Branch’s manager operation accused Tariq Mehmood had embezzled Rs. 2.3 million from the account of a customer. He said that FIA team raided at Daska and arrested the accused from there.
He said that the FIA has sent the accused behind the bars after registering a case.
While the local court sent five accused women to local jail on two-week long judicial remand on charges of going abroad illegally and reaching back Pakistan after being deported from Turkey and Iran.
According to the senior officials, FIA had arrested village Kotli Ramdas-Sialkot based Shehnaz Bibi and her four young daughters Zoha, Khansa, Asma and Hafsa upon landing at Sialkot international airport three days ago after being deported by the Turkish immigration authorities for illegally entering into the Turkish Territory.
The FIA officials added that these women had denied their links with any banned militant organization including Daish, during the interrogation by the different intelligence agencies.
According to the FIA Inspector Waqar Awan, the FIA had arrested these Sialkot based five accused women on charges of travelling to Iran and Turkey illegally. He said that further investigations were underway.
