Islamabad (by Azhar Khan) Newslens Pakistan grabbed three awards among 40 categories of awards presented by Agahi Awards, organized by Mashal here on Saturday at Pakistan National Council of the Arts Islamabad.
Abdul Salam Afridi won two awards and Sana Ejaz Khan of Newslens Pakistan and Naeem Sahoutara Tribune and free-lance were among 40 award winners; while 3000 entries were received by Mishal Pakistan, told moderators Shamoon Hashmi and Saima Shirazi.

Islamabad: Master Ayoub giving award to Salam Afrridi
Salam Afridi, Mahrukh Sarwar, Naimat Khan, Sana Jamal, Adil Parvez and Saadat Hassan received two awards each; while Ayesha Bakhsh of Geo got award thrice as people’s choice current affairs favorite anchor.

Islam Gul Afridi, of Akhbar-e-Khayber, Yousaf Ajab Baloch, Balochistan Point, Adil Pervez, GEO News, Shabina Faraz, Express, Murtaza Zaib, Rehan Muhammad, Adil Pervez, GEO News, Raja Kamran, Shazia Hassan of Dawn Media Group, Usman Hanif, Pakistan Today received awards.
While Fouzia Zeb, 92 News, Rizwana Naqvi, Dawn.com, Zareef Balouch, Haal Ahwal, Syed Babar Ali, Express Tribune, Zahid Gill, GEO TV, Syed Babar Ali, Express, Syed Miqdad Mehdi, The Nation, Hasham Cheema, Dawn, Zoral Khurram and Narendar Kumar of Express Tribune, Arsalan Sheikh, Dawn, Syed Muhammad Abu Bakar, The News International and Samiullah Randhawa of Pakistan Today were among the award winner.
However 12 of the award winners were not present personally to receive the awards.
Master Ayoub, Dr Umer Saif and the representative of various embassies and consulates including Denmark, China, Britain, Australia presented awards to journalists.
