NAUSHAHRO FEROZE (ENNS) Two persons were killed in an attack on house in failed attempt to kill the couple who had married with their free will in the limits of Mithiani police station district Naushahro Feroze in Sindh province.
Armed men stormed the house and opened indiscriminate fires, which claimed the lives of Muhammad Sadiq and Javed Bhurt, the brother and uncle of Ashfaq Bhurt, who married with Seema Solangi one year ago.
The tribal jury of Solangi clan declared both Karo Kari and announced to kill them and made such attempts as well but luckily couple remained unhurt in the past.
Few months ago on the intervention of spiritual leader well known as “Ber waro saeen” a local jirga was held in which 5 million fine was imposed on Ashfaq Bhurt for marrying with Seema Solangi through court with their free will.
Both groups accepted the decision and according to Bhurt family sources, they paid 1.7 million to family of Seema but even then they attacked and killed two persons.
The fine amount was supposed to be paid in installments in about one year duration.
Senior Superintendent of Police district Naushahro Feroze suspended Station House Officer Rafiq Bohio for failing to protect people and for mishandling the matter.
Moreover Mithiani police arrested two accused out of seven nominated in First Information Report no. 32/2020 under sections 302, 147, 148, 149 and 337-H, 2 of Pakistan Penal Code.
While villagers held protest demonstration on Naushahro Feroze national highly which resulted in blockage of the traffic. However administration after negotiation succeed in opening the road but later booked 70-80 unknown persons for protest.
The complaint Mehboob Ali nominated Abdul Majeed, Ali Muhammad alias Alan, Muhammad Hassan, Yaqoob, Gulzar, Chatto and three others unknown for two murders and attack on the house.
