ISLAMABAD (ENNS/MD) Veteran actor of Lollywood Viju Khote well known as “Kaalia” passed away on Monday morning, family sources told media.
He was 77 and passed away in his sleep at his residence. Khote has been unwell since quite some time.
He had multiple organ failure,” actor and niece Bhavana Balsavar revealed.
Renowned for comedy roles, Viju was famed for the evergreen lines: Kitne Aadmi The?, Do, Sarkar from the film Sholay in which he played dacoit Gabbar Singh”s bumbling sidekick Kaalia.
In a career spanning around five decades, Khote worked in over 300 films, including Phir Hera Pheri, Andaz Apna Apna and others.
