Teen age maid allegedly tortured in Rahim Yar Khan

RAHIM YAR KHAN (By Bilal Habib) A maid escaped from the house after allegedly being tortured as a rickshaw driver handed over her to police here on Tuesday.

Aleeza, seven years told Saddar police that she was working at Shahid
Saleem’s house, a resident of Gulshan-e-Iqbal for last six months.
Her parents belong to Alipur. Aleeza said that Shahid and his wife
slapped her as in routine and she escaped from the house early in
the morning on Tuesday when the gate was unlocked.
She further told, later a
rickshaw driver dropped her at police station, who told
Police that Aleeza was weaping on Shahi Road near a private college when he rescued her to police station.
Some persons made its video and shared
to police also on which police registered an FIR 294/19 against the
accused under section 382 A of Pakistan Penal Code. DPO RYK Umar Farooq
Salamat in a video message said that when he saw the video of girl, police took immediate action.

DPO assuring action as per law

He said police will investigate this
matter on merit after completing all legal requirements.

Moreover the brother
of accused Shahid, told this correspondent that all the allegations against them were false and baseless.

However he admitted that minor girl was working over there but they were treating the maid girl like their children.
As per law child labor is prohibited in Pakistan, said child rights activist.
