LANDIKOTAL (ENN) Naujawanan-e-Khugakhel and residents of Bacha Mena village on the Torkham border held a protest demonstration on Tuesday to record their protest against alleged grabbing of their properties.
A score of Bacha Mena and Khugakhel tribesmen took part in the protest, holding black flags and placards and chanted slogans against officials over the violation of the agreement that had been signed with Khugakhel tribe 2015.
The protesters marched in Torkham bazaar and gathered at the front of NLC terminal.
Speaking on the occasion, Israr Ahmad Shinwari and Zarqeeeb Shinwari accused a company of grabbing their land in Torkham.
Regarding the demarcation of the land, they said that they want the original boundaries of the land to be cleared that had been mentioned in the agreement, made with Khugakhel tribe.
The protesters threatened that they would extend their protest if “officials” were not stopped from their illegal activities at Torkham border.
