KARACHI (ENN) Sindh Minister for Women Development Syeda Shehla Raza has urged upon the women and girls of Lyari area that they will identify themselves to raise their voice against the any violence and tyranny against the women.
This she observed while addressing at the ceremony held in Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Lyari University Auditorium in connection with International Girls Child’s Rights Day which is being organized by the Women Development Department Sindh.
Syeda Shehla Raza while addressing the Girls of Lyari including Women Boxing and Football players has said that they are never lagging behind to their brothers so that they have also capabilities and qualities. You should play your role in every field especially in education and any kind of training.
As strong girls is a real picture of strong world. We should all come forward to protect the women from all violence and should be aware about our (women) rights.
She further said that helpline 1094 is reactivated to get prompt results with regard to violence and injustice with the women, through the better education and health we could achieve the desired results of our targets and in this regard we have to support any sort of task.
Earlier MPA from Lyari Shazia Kareem Sanghar, Chairperson Sindh Commission on Women Status Nuzhat Shireen, renowned poets Seema Ghazal also addressed the gathering have said that Sindh Assembly is already concrete legislation for the betterment of the women in Sindh and the Commission has also made empowered to protect the rights and aware about the laws to the women.
Commission is working to explore the capabilities of girls and women of Lyari area specially and play its due role in the empowerment of women, discourage the early age marriages.
